The construction of Hagedorn's pots are definitely not run of the mill pots. You need to buy or borrow a few of his pots and compare them to other ceramists. Apparently you feel others make more interesting and better unglazed pots. For conversation sake, I would be interested in who you feel make better pots?

Hey @reddog - did you mean to post this on my profile? I certainly don't think Hagedorn pots are run of the mill. That why I want to pick up a few of his pieces! Was this meant for the thread over on "wanted to buy"?

I haven't heard from you in quite a while. I hope you are alright. How is the weather treating you and your trees since before Christmas?

Hi. I saw you were looking for bonsai international magazines. I have some older ones from 1984 to 1998. Around 40 issues that I would like to sell all of them. Most are in very good condition. I would sell them for $3 per issue plus USPS shipping. I believe I have complete sets of 86, 89, 91, 94 and 96. thanks,
    John

Hi, crust here. I have been shifting around on this camera thing--the variables being ease of use, versatility, and cost. The Sony Alpha a5000 Mirrorless Digital Camera with 16-50mm OSS Lens has been recommended as a compromise--what do you think?

Hi, Crust- The hidden cost of a camera like this is more lenses. It has changeable lenses, so if you decide you need more depth of field, you'll need a different lens. But, if you dedicate your camera to taking pictures of your trees, you should do fine. There are so many choices out there it's hard to settle on one camera!--Fred

It'll get there TP. Just takes time, but they develop pretty fast. Remember that branch structure is built from the inside out. Pinching to density the tips should be one of the last things you do.

Ah, crap! I totally forgot and I saw him this weekend too. I'll give him a call this week and see if he has them around still and if he does I'll go snag a few.

Can you pop me the link where I can see the winers of the contest and a place where I can claim one that I understand I won. I have only been able to get on the site in very short bursts and trying to track dow a post is difficult for me. I seem to have a severely pinched spine in my neck
