Good for first tries. Ken Tu is the master at this. Look at how the movement keeps moving very fluid like even in the smaller branches. Look at the branch structure and notice how there are no straight sections. Yours have many straight sections, not good on a real tree and not good on a wire tree. It is very easy to take that out of a wire tree. All the branches come off the trunk at very usable angles mostly angled down and never pointing straight up, which you have many. The foliage pads are very horizontal, and yours are more erratic. You just need some tweaks and you will be right there.

Make some changes and show us how you tweaked it, it will only get better!

We have a shohin study group of which he is a student. He always brings a juniper to hack the hell out of. I give him crap about his wire trees and how beautiful they are and his real shit is so rough! Ken To in my backyard giving the business to another hapless juniper with much bigger wire than he's used to!

I wish I lived close to artist like that....I have some good guys around me. But, I'm retired and a full time college student. So, I have lots of free time and they all work....my Bonsai Society President is retired as well, but he lives a hour and a half from me.

I can see this being a fun winter exercise for styling practice/developing an eye for design. Or even planning out future styling of a tree. I might make a model of some cuttings/sticks that I have and figure out what I'm going to do to them.
