So since this was my first time ever doing this, I documented the whole day of working on and creating this tree. heres how it went.

1. Get tree
2. Find the trunk line
3. Shorten pot, reduce/remove uneeded foliage(crotch branches, weak foliage)
4. Continuation of 3
5. Main branch wiring and begin to form Jins

I had originally desinged this tree "backwards" I had the front as the back.

1. Orginal front
2. Original back
3. Original top

Now at this point the "front" was bothering me. So i posted a vid about it and got some imput from sawgrass to switch the front and back. This was something I had considered but need to hear it from someone else kind of thing. To reaffirm this decision, I happened to be browsing bnut late one night and saw that Wlater Paul was on. So I thought what the hell and PMd him a link to the video, and wouldn't you know it he actually replied and said the same thing as sawgrass. Needless to say I took the advice.

4. Picture of tree after choosing new front and stlight restyling.

I think you did a great job, and windswepts are a very difficult style to pull off. However, I think it would look much better if you could crank that second, thick branch up to be the new leader.. maybe easier while the wood is still green?

Hmm I like that idea. The only thing stopping me is the amount of work already done, and the trunk is really stiff(I tried to bend it early on in the process, just was not going to happen) Hopefully in a couple years when the tree is ready for work again I'll have a branch jack and can do the adjustment then. For now its in the greenhouse, or as my gf dubbed it The Bonsai ICU.

I don't think he's getting a Wi-Fi signal out on the boat.....

We gotta wait a long time for updates on these!
