G'day B nuts,

for the last few weeks I have been recovering from a slight case of
pneumonia which was no fun at all. Couldn't believe my eyes when I
finally made it out to look at my trees,
this is an Aussie native which I collected in May this year.
This species Verticordia(commonly known as featherflowers) is a very difficult species to collect,
they do not like being disturbed at the roots. Once in Bonsai cultivation it's a little
more forgiving but from the wild not so.

as collected,, Verticordia densiflora

What a lovely twisted trunk and those flowers look amazing.
This is a new species to me and had to google it, must be another one of those little western gems you have over your way.

Very cool bark and trunk movement, only problem I foresee is to make it full with those feather leaves (or make it look full).
