Man, that third pic is one snaggletoothed bonsai. Here are photos of my small Yamadori collection.
Sorry, forgot the origin of the thread. You broke the rules, you gotta post a tree!lol
How's that giant for doing?I just styled a ponderosa with the guidance of Owen Reich. The ponderosa was collected in Spring 2016 with an intact rootball. The tree grew very strong and I felt good to give it the first structural work.
The tree before and after 360 are loading in my website as Ponderosa 15.

Beautiful! These trees are great!I'll try and make up for breaking the rules. Collected Thuja smashoid. This is going to be a challenge to design in the future. Some nice deadwood and came out with a beautiful root pad.
Your website doesnt seem to work well for me, tried with pc and ipad but can not see any trees, not sure why but i know i have looked at your site a while back and it was working then.I just styled a ponderosa with the guidance of Owen Reich. Alvaro can you share why you chose that particular front?Limber Pine in Texas.
This tree was collected 2 years ago with an intact rootball and it has been protected from the sun and heat. I have been avoiding overwatering and it has been growing very well.
I worked with Owen in 2 sessions. The first 30-min session was to decide front, what to keep and cut and next steps. After that session, I put raffia in the big branches and then I wired the whole tree but I did not set any branch. The second session (1-hour) he guided me of where to place the branches and how to create the foliage pads. Both sessions were through video so it was quite interesting.
The results are in the following link:
