New bench and stand I built over October break.20161014_103942-1600x900.jpg Built under a tree to protect some of the newly repotted trees until they are ready for full Arizona sun.

Looks nice and well placed. I like the way it blends in with the aviary too :)

Thank you, headed there tomorrow anyways. Putting up an unusual bench in the Spring and I can work it into the plan over the Winter. :)

To much history and detail to explain. The base will be in the shop most of the winter being "restored" before finishing. The wood top is hand milled ash complete with ash borer trails and it will include a bottle opener and that tool holder with a few other features. Overall it will be different because of the base material and its original purpose.
I will most certainly post pictures when it is done ;)

Nice solid bench AZ, but if you need general benches, that are easy to build, and light to move around you might want to have a peek at this product.

WBSK Workbench and Shelving Hardware Kit

@&%$, I don't know why I can't get an active link to work here, but maybe its better that they don't. You can search "Simpson Strong Tie Bench Kit"... should take you right to the page. I have some that I bought for $20.00 ea. so the pricing can vary a LOT. There is a Youtube video of a guy building "something" with the kit and he did a horrible job of his demonstration, so don't use that as a reference at all! If you follow the guidelines inside the box, they are very sturdy. (Basically, use clamps before screwing it all together)

I built some out of Western Red Cedar for outdoors and some of spruce for shelving in the garage 2"X4" and 2"X3"... make 'em whatever size you need and as many shelves as you need... simply put, they are the cats ass.

Mr. Administrator might consider using these guys as a relevant ad sponsor... ;)

I've been using them for years and they're great. They're even cheaper at HF if you have one close by. (HF = Harbor Freight) :)
