Red Pot Challenge to come.

I dropped wife at the mall while I went to the Depot and Lowes. Lowes had nothing at Depot has Albertas and some Holly sticks in pots.
Not marked down much yet either. 10-20 bucks for Alberta Spruce I didn't really want. Already killed one of them last year.
Wife got a new coat and we had a nice anniversary dinner but no tree for me.
Kinda proud of myself for saying no to a tree. Maybe a first...

This was my first year I turned down most trees I had the thought to buy, it feels great!

Have to go to another town today to pick up ATV parts and they happen to have a couple places to look. Maybe testing my will again today.

I am in. Won't be able to keep up with you guys in the technical areas but will give it a whirl....bought this one yesterday. When do they have to be done by and does it need to be in bonsai pot?

I have one more place I can check this week but I have no idea what they may or may not have other than that it-s just regular nursery stock everywhere, I may as well just buy more Callistemons and be done with it.

All my home depot had this year was dwarf albertas. WTH man, I heard people on here talking about scots pine and weird spruces. I feel like the home depot and lowes near my city are so lame

Went out to get some more screening today and all I could find was some Fir, normandy or something. A quick in store web search told me they are difficult so I didn't grab one. Their azaleas and cypress were more feeble than the one I posted earlier.

Thanks. High school sweethearts. I feel lucky as she is truly my best friend.

Back on topic. I either have to drive an hour back to buy an Alberta or spindly Holly and practice wiring skills (much needed) or, as the rules seem pretty lax in this one, go out to my friends nursery and grab something. I killed 2 of his Blue Spruce last year so maybe give one of them a go. Or another ugly boxwood... I'd put a bow on it but no receipt. LOL
