None of Vance's trees are grafted. He has some great mugo pine bonsai. I believe I have pictures of just about all of them.

I'll be visiting Vance this week. And of course I'll be paying the dragon a visit.

It was so long ago. I didn't take the course that they said I should take. I read a couple of books and took the certification course. I applied a lot of what I learned from working in line clearance too.

You can hack a healthy elm down to a bare stump no problem. It will grow out of the cambium like shibui said. It will most likely pop buds out further down. They come back angry.

I know,right? I remember taking that picture. Still have the cheap pot too. Never used it for anything and now that picture is framed and sits in the pot ,along with his first collar and all of his expired tags.

I have just 5 trees right now. The last couple years I put the bonsai on the back burner. Life. I'm going to hit it hard in the spring again.

I've been gone for a while. Lots of new members! Yeah! I still have trees. Not as many but that's my problem. What I was wondering was where the hell is Sorce? Is he still a member? I have his phone number but last time I called he never called back. I am still in touch with Vance though...

It's been a while since I last started posting here. I missed a couple birthdays but Rupert is still with me.. Him playing with my sisters pit bull. He still has all of his teeth!

You can practice it and it makes you feel like you just started last spring. Oh wait.... that's just me.
