I'd wire it a little more, but this one Texas Scarlet is going to another home. I would've liked to develop the bare side more for balance and flowers. Lots of flowers on the way for sure. Last year this cultivar had 2 good flushes of flowers in the winter and a few more in a third flush.

My Utamaro, I mean Toyonishiki is blooming 🥸 Id like more branching where the shadows are on the right eventually.

I just fool around. This was originally a root cutting. I wire in movement. It stay somewhat pliable so I can sort of change placement of branches to suit what I think looks interesting. Clip, grow, and wire. I have a surprise on this Toyonishiki. The pot is Tosui I bought in Japan at Taikanten...

Not much new except it's alive and well. I've been laying it down on different sides to get the growth stronger where I want.

I haven't updated in a while despite having things go on with this tree. Leader cut back. All grafts look ok. The strongest one is growing the most, especially after I cut the leader. The second strongest actually had all its leaves die and grow new ones. I don't know what happened. Maybe...

No. I downsized my inventory several times. I think I have little time, so I try to keep things simple and consistent for speedy work.
