Thanks Stone Cloud! I may take you up in that.
Right now, I-95 is a parking lot going north. Fender benders, and I'm betting its people on their phones not paying attention. It's 12 hours to Pensacola taking back roads, which is what I'd do.
If you stay, stay safe StoneCloud! I think we're leaving out too.
My poor trees are going to suffer! :(
I've brought them in and will have them in trays of water, but that will only last so long. My fear isn't getting out, it's getting back down here.
I see what you're saying, and I think I'm going to angle it a bit when I do a repot.
It is pretty healthy, which is good. I'd like to prune it back to make it a bit more compact.
Spent a few minutes trimming my bougie up, here with the before and after pics. Once I moved it to the front of the house, the leaves have really come in. Just waiting for it to bloom and some of the newer branches to harden just a little so I can wire.
I'm thinking wiring is the biggest benefit to defoliating the Brazilian. It was much easier to wire and dethorn without the leaves. I haven't noticed a reduction in the size of the leaves myself, but anecdotal evidence says the tree doesn't have a problem with it.
My brother-in-law lives in Des Moines, great city, very underrated.
I like he focus, these guys have way more experience than I do, but if it was my tree, I'd just let it grow and look at it. Just keep it alive and enjoy looking at it.
