    Did the cut on Wenesday 2/21/24. Bagged them up today 2/25/2024. Total 10... 9 TM, 1 Crabtree. Medium... straight peatmoss and no rooting hormones Now... we'll wait....

    The summer was extremely hot... temp in triple digits for weeks if not months. Many pines along the streets are dead as well.     Here comes the hard freeze for 2024

    Houston area will see the low in the low 20s on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Time to clean out the garage and make room for the trees. What a joy in growing trees in pots. Funny thing is we will be seeing 70s for the next couple days.

    I have never seen one in blue ever. I have seen green, brown and black many times. I have plenty of them but this one is special! As you can see, I got really excited so snap away I did. A frog friend decided to hang out in my JM group.

    Willow leaf ficus new cultivar

    Am thinking of propagate this ficus as it seems to have great qualities... nice dome shape and leaf color. From a distance it looks almost like a tree in full bloom of yellow blossoms. I will name it Ficus Nerifolia - Texas Heat. What do you think?

    I think this can be collected under the darkness as it is in a local park - Barker Reservoir. The base got to be about 3 feet in diameter. The height no more than 25 feet. There are 3 in the same pond. @Cajunrider @Srt8madness are you in?

    Even pro have dead trees!

    Don't we all are pro at our own backyard. This is a trident that didn't make it. It struggled after I repotted it into a shallow pot a few years ago. I also killed a very nice clump last year.
