I entered two displays into my first bonsai show today. It was the annual club show for The Bonsai Society of Hartford.

My tree is a Ficus microcarpa, ‘Tiger Bark Ficus.’ The accent plant is a Myosotis sylvatica, ‘Forget Me Not,’ in an Etsuko Bram pot.

Big thanks to Bob and Maureen Neems for lending me the stand and jita.

In the kusamono display, the larger abstract ceramic is by Joshua Jeram and the smaller one is a tokoname pot by an unknown potter.
