Help Identify a tree and health

I found this Bonsai Tree on sale at Rona for $10. I initially thought it looked good and healthy but I'm now not sure after I repotted it a few days ago. The tree kinda seems like it has been sprayed with something to keep it from dying or growing or something. Almost feels fake.

Can someone please help me identify the species and if you can tell if its healthy
