I am repotting a scots pine that I recently picked up at the nursery. Any advice for repotting, trimming would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure if I should do HBR when I repot?

How far along are the spring candles? That’s what I look at when determining ideal timing. Again, pictures would help.

Why?
Why now?

No offence here, but in most parts of the world it's too late to repot. Not sure what the weatjer is like in ontario, or if the plant has sent out shoots already. Sometimes you can get away with a late repot, but it's risky.
Nursery soil isn't all bad; the plant is alive and healthy after all. Just watch your watering.
