Google the Title.
This is going to be a chill, fun challenge.

Google the Title.....
Really relaxed.

So....
While a red pot may match our eyes, this is not the only material you may use....

However,

You must use unstyled nursery trees, and if not in a red pot, You Must put a bow on it, an ornament, or in any silly fashion....give it a x-mas feel.

Unstyled entries will be accepted here until January 30th.
Receipt if you got it.

Another thread will come early Feb. for styled entries and "like" judging. Take your time.

Direct any questions to yourself, answer yes, and post the tree up!

Let's have some fun.

Oh well, I already posted this so I guess I'll do something to it.

Called a Decoration Cypress but I suspect it may be Leylandii. 8 Euro as seen on the tag in a blurry pic.

In its day Panama Red was top shelf.
This guy doesn't have to Google the title.
I'm old enough that I've actually smoked some.
Now it's all Indica or Indica Sativa blends.
Pure Sativa is rare anymore.
From what I understand this song could be about a hooker or a car...or who knows what...thought you might like some bonsai working music

DSC_0005.JPG ContestShimp copy.jpg DSC_0656 copy.JPG I am posting this tree simply because I put it into the Red Chinese Pot late this last summer before the contest was conceived. I am only posting it because I thought some of you might appreciate the progression. The tree started out bonsai life as a 3 gallon nursery tree and was one of the losers from one of the Bonsai Talk web site contests. I think I have some of those early photo too if I can find them before interest in the post falls of the charts.

Why did I google that at work?

Picked up an Alberta spruce for $2 at Lowe's the other day. Wasn't planning to work on it, but now that I see you crazies doing it I might as well try!

Here is my contribution:.

Note the multitextured backdrop finely composed of a hatch cover from a car, a tool box and a guitar case. Chinese red pot and stand crafted from a fruit bucket. Also the large schefflera accent in the upper corner.

Sharpie for scale of quite literally the only thing I could find that could even be remotely considered a trunk.

We got some players interested! Where do we post the finished product? Gonna start a new thread in the future?
Mine is no more than an exercise in wiring. Good practice however bad it is.
