Thank you. Truth be told, when I chose it as a gaming moniker, I did consider myself a bit of a paradox both in the gaming world and because I never really fit into my peer groups in real life. I kind of still do in some respects. I have always had very different interests than most girls/women my age.

That is my read on it from what I have learned about you from your posts. I hope you never change your moniker. I have always enjoyed having you here as an internet friend that I hope to meet in person some day.

Most people are familiar with the word penumbra, but I was surprised that a small number of people at the Winter Silhouette show asked what it means and a couple were not sure how to pronounce it. I probably use it too much but that is OK with me. My new business in Penumbra Pottery, my Amazon store (on hold now) was Penumbra Books etc. The word just came to me one day over 20 years ago and it stuck. While the word is used most often to describe the merging area of light and dark on the moon ( I am crazy for lunar eclipses) to me it says I exist where the light meets the dark. This was probably prompted by a long time study of Daoism. From another point, I exist in the shadow land.

That’s cool . I have read that the definite point where the light and dark side of the moon exist is called the Terminator . Was not aware of the reference to your name . Great choice for a fellow tree murderer

Yeah, the name comes from the Dr. Seuss book/movie. It’s tree related because the Lorax is the creature that cares for the truffula trees.

I love to surf fish, there was a point when I would spend over a month each summer roaming the North and South Carolina coast fishing. My fishing buddies would joke that when i get really dark tanned I looked like a Hispanic person so they called me Mateo, the Spanish pronunciation of Matt. Add the year I was born on it and that’s how my user name was born.

As a addicted Small mouth bass angler . I remember being in your territory . Outer banks of NC . On my honeymoon early in the morning looking out the hotel at the sunrise over the ocean . When along came some guys setting up to shore fish . Shade umbrella beach chairs cooler . Throw some baits in the ocean . Sit down in the shade with a beverage . While the women in bikinis sat on blankets waiting for the sun . Remembering thinking these guys are about 100 times smarter than I am
