Fellow residents of the nut house,

Wow! What a week of "Nutty" discussion here! I brought up the sealing topic because I was honestly ignorant of the issues involved. I had no idea of the passions it would inflame! Has anyone noticed the massive jump in traffic and participation here in the last week?

I know that many do not like the oft times heated style of discussion that take place here, I for one must say that I have learned so much this week! We have covered topics that can be found in nearly every "newbie" primer on bonsai in existence:

1) Sealing wounds
2) Fertilizing after collection
3) Foliar feeding
4) Perched water tables
5) Superthrive and other miracle tonics

I have been exposed in the last week to decades of expert experience and a good amount of scientific studies on many of these topics.

You may not like the style but the information has been priceless!!!

Thanks to all who participate and you experts who sit on the sides because of the flames, please brave the waters for us ignorant newbies.

I look forward to more of these areas of the art coming out of the shadows!

I agree, and good spirited discussion provides entertainment during our long cold winters, err I mean most peoples long cold winters.:D

I would not mind seeing allot more movement down in the tree section however. I'll see if I can contribute more to that in a few weeks.

This would be excellent! I would love to see people post progressions, and give pointers on different species that they have experience with!
