Beautiful mame pot, maybe a little excessive on the drainage, but good form and detail.

That is sweet! I just love little pots! I love the little trees as well. Show all of these you want.

Thanks milehigh!

The plant is Avonia ustulata, a succulent in the Portulacaceae family.

You know what I think would be a good business opportunity? For someone put together a clearing house and catalog for all of the quality bonsai pots produced by domestic potters that specialize in bonsai. Most of the Chinese pots I have gotten my hands on over the years have all finally turned to dust and crumbs. The Japanese pots are not a good as they used to be and cost more than a chevy.

Vance you are CORRECT!
With the recent events,,, a GM or a Chrysler is cheaper than a good Tokoname:D

Does anyone think that having Government control industry, banking, and health care is a good thing? How long till they out law bonsai as being harmful to the environment? Any way I think domestic bonsai ware is every bit as good as imported and in many cases better and I think there should be a way this could be marketed to the benefit of the entire bonsai community. Just a dream of mine; to be able to pick and choose good pots that wont turn to crap in two years.

Easy Vance,,,easy.
I agree with the NON_Govt. Control thing. I was only poking a little (MAME) fun. I do agree that there
alot of very accomplished Potters out there that with a little consolidation could really sell over a Asian (nothing against asian products)controlled market. I too have qualms with pots going to put in a few year's time. I have seen on the web alot of great European Potter also.
Here's a pict of a well-known maker and his wares,,, I think its a "Chevanome"
