Pom Seedlings

This year has been grow-as-much-as-possible-from-seed year for me. So naturally, I bought a 'Wonderful' pomegranate and saved the seeds. I planted them about 2 months ago and they are looking good. I know that they probably won't come true from seed, but they'll be good material regardless. Here are some pictures--they're about an inch tall.

Anyone done this before?

Patients in my Horticultural Therapy program and I germinated about 100 of them this spring. Cleaning all of the red pulp off of the seeds was interesting. It looked like we popped a unit of blood. The germination rate was very high. The fruit was given to me, so I'm not sure of the variety. We'll see what happens with them.

Not intentionally, but I do have several volunteers seedlings in the yard. Don't forget you can strike cuttings as big as you want. Just before bud break put em in a propagator with bottom heat and good strong lighting and in about two weeks you will have more roots than you know what to do with.
