For the last 10 days or so I have been enjoying these...

A very old exposed root style tree.

This is my newest addition...It was purchased in Rochester in 2007 from Dave Kreutz (SP) from St. Louis... Shohin in size and the blooms upon close inspection could almost be porcelain.

WOW :D Thanks for posting John!

I like how the exposed root style has started to fuse together. Very interesting.

Johng,

Do you know what variety the first one is. It has extra nice flowers. Very nice work, as usual.

Hey Martin, Thanks for the reply...I am not exactly sure but I suspect that it is Eikan. It basically throws all the same color blooms, very light pink but most have a green throat and a few have a red throat.

Thanks Ryan!

John, Nice azaleas, I'm still waiting for my large one to bloom to post pics. I thought it would be out this weekend but not much yet. A few of my smaller trees are blooming though. If it doesn't rain all day I will try to get some pictures.

Johng,

Boy I wish I knew someone who lived relatively close by who might take some cuttings of that tree, or one just like it and help me out a little.......

I can't imagine who you might be hinting to:) ...I actually saw one that looked very similar in a nursery recently...there was only one and I don't think it had much bonsai potential but if you are looking for a stock plant it should be just fine. If I remember the next time I am across town I will pick it up. I will also try to make a couple cutting for you.
