Yeah I don't like watermarks either. Its all over nowadays. It takes a lot away from the actual photo. If it absolutely has to be done, then as less intrusive as possible. In this case very small in the left lower corner maybe? Definitely not on the tree....:)

The reason I use watermarks is to prevent other people from taking my work and claiming it as their own. People may not like them, but it's something I have to do to protect my work. The bigger the watermark, the harder it is for people to crop it out. I've also got another hidden in the picture itself.

@sorce Do not think it is as bad as all that......quite yet.

"Researchers point out that the mark of the beast is 616, not 666 in the original Greek texts. So it could be a big typo that got copied over and over again.
-The occultist Aleister Crowley, who introduced astrology to the modern world, called himself "The Beast 666", as a joke to annoy religious people. It was what his mother called him when he was young because he was so rebellious.
-In Chinese, 666 is a lucky number that means flow!":

Hidden? I've had more trouble finding Waldo.
Seriously, that is an awesome picture and I understand your wanting to protect it. Loved the reflecting pool shot as well. There must be a way to make your mark waaaay less intrusive.

I suggest to make it just a little more transparent and drop the one on the tree....JMO The way to make money with a camera is to get paid to take the pics in the first place....I'm not saying there isn't folks making money by selling photos they have taken but they are few and far between unless you are a paparazzi. That said, the photo is stunning....Hats off, you got talent.

Something a little different. If you liked my toy and model photography photos on page 24 of this thread, you might find this interesting. I don't have a high end camera or a lighting set up and my pics are shot indoors. The original pictures look pretty terrible and I usually spend hour sediting. Here are a bunch of befores and afters. The original photos are on the left.

You ought to start photoing bonsai. If you can learn to do that you have accomplished something. Bonsai are difficult to do.

Sometimes you look through files for something you know you have but you cannot locate it. Well I was looking for something to share here and I ran a photo I have been looking for of one of my Mugos I have named the Angry Bird. So here is the photo and though the bird is no longer angry the name has stuck.
