I am offering trays of 16+ strongly rooted cuttings from trees native to Western North America. At first I will have Western Hemlock (Tsuga heterophylla) and Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii var. menziesii). In the future I may have Port Orford cedar (Chamaecyparis lawsoniana), Western redcedar (Thuja plicata), Coastal redwood (Sequoia sempervirens), and Vine maple (Acer circinatum).

Example roots (all feeder, no taproots)

They will be offered for about $48 to $80 in the initial offering. Shipping will be offered at cost from 97217 and I will provide great packing materials. I'm not expecting to earn much from this, but I am particularly offering unique species I can readily access. I like these species and want to see them grown and used for bonsai.

The cuttings will be established in 3.75" Anderson band pots within 15" Anderson propagation trays. I can offer them at about 12" height, chopped low with branches, or even wired with some initial bending movements. For options where I am putting in labor or materials then I will be adding my costs to the price.

I expect they will be ready around May 2017, I will ship only on Mondays, and I will not ship during the hottest periods of the year.

@bleumeon I don’t want to deal with agriculture protections and I’m hoping that folks in CA can get these species on their own ;)

I did manage to put together a tray of Bristlecone Pine, but these are super tiny and all for me.

The Western Hemlock have responded well to transplanting. They're starting to grow

I completely understand! This year, I sent some live branches to Australia as a gift, and it was held and destroyed by Australia customs! Great lesson for me

Gosh!

I thought calexit was fake news!

Oh my... I understand now why the US defense budget has been hyped. I thought it was just to reward the millionaires courtiers, but - good golly! there's war brewing there!

:D
