@Vance Wood I am convinced our climate around this lake...only on or very near this latitude....
Makes for a very different bonsai experience.
Of course having a greenhouse, or other such luxuries, or the patience/want to have one....come into play...
I prefer trees that, like the garbage can lid, can be thrown somewhere for winter where I can also throw some water periodically and otherwise get about my business of learning all winter!
Mugo fits that (duck) bill!
Get it? We throwing stuff!
Bonsai Stuff!
I am pretty good for Identifying OPP...
Other People's Problems...
Um....situation flaws....
For instance, and
@M. Frary should love this one!
Ryan Neil says, "you can always take something back"...
But that is INCOMPLETE.
While you can take everything back, there isn't always a guarantee that taking it back will result in something as visually pleasing.
Hence the song I've penned and must record....
Faster further future vision.
The faster we can see 20 years into the future, the faster we can make the perfect moves now!
And for beginners, this doesn't take 40 years experience.....
Just do like my avatar and black hole everything every tree can tell you about how they grow, what is possible, what is real, what it takes to convert that real to miniature...etc...
Of course you Vance, understand all that already....
But this is where Ryan's relative "newness" to growing nursery stuff out shows. Even though he is the one who spoke of Kimura's Future Vision that made me brainstorm it in the first place!
If you have a flaw Vance, lol!
Going from Nursery Pot to Nationals....
I hope these folks understand my level of respect for you by now!
But the wiring thing just has me thinking....
While you were fighting so hard to define MUGO for yourself....
Are there other, I can't say bad, but "old school" general bonsai practices that you may have held onto without realizing?
It's kind of hahaha lol Zen Buddhist Chinese Philosophy, "he's gotta be Bullshitting " cliché...
But I know I know nothing every morning.
People know the Saying.
I live it.
That's how my brain works.
I have a rain barrel attached to a hose that I keep elevated (stuck in the fence) close to the trees, so I can lower it and refill my bottles...
There is a level at which the pressure is considerably lower and it becomes faster to walk over to the other barrel to fill up.
I must be aware of this level because some days I have a minute or 2 less to get to work.
We move shit at work, I calculate how much energy I have to use in particular situations and know when another dude is making me expend more energy, "let's help each other"....
Ok fucker! Then go get your own and I'll get this one!
Moronic Pussies.
Scared to do it alone, and not realizing it takes more energy to do it together.
I can go on.....
But that's how my mind works, beautifully if you will, nothing is complete until it is COMPLETE!
Till then I ask questions....mostly inside my own head, as there seems to be loads of company!
