I see you've been committing Crepe Murder. Pollarding Crepes drives some people nuts.
I've read about crepe murder. The neighborhood I live in has a lot of crepe's and many are done real well. Been worked on for many many years. I'm getting rid of this tree due to construction out back but when you prone these correct they can look real nice. House down the street has 2 big ones in front that the canopy has been raised just past roof level and is now trimmed to stay at that height. Looks real nice and doesn't block the front of the house with foliage like most.

I'm getting rid of this tree due to construction out back but when you prone these correct they can look real nice.

Take it out and box it up in the Fall - they are hell tough and that could make a very nice potted one in a couple short years. If not, PM mw with shipping cost bare root dormant to 18917 ;)

Bring power tools and heavy equipment to lift it! I just removed a stump recently that was incredibly stubborn.

I'm digging it up tomorrow. I'm guessing its heavy and really stuck in there.
