Si Nguyen and I took a trip up to the show at the Bao Quang Buddhist temple here in Westminster on Saturday. Saw some great trees and met Ben Oki and David Nguy and some other really nice folks.

Some of the trees, will start with the Satsuki, an Oak and a Juniper

David Nguys Black Pine, a huge Gingko, a really nice Chinese Elm arrangement and close up of the sweet little accent.

Close Bill but no cigar:p

Mark, I think the Gingko was Harry Hirao's but I'm not 100% sure, maybe Si can remember. I really need to start taking photos of the nametag along with the trees.

Hi Ian, thanks for sharing the pics. I really like that Cali Juniper.

I love that one too... except I'd like to break up the WWII bucket helmet image it's got going on. :p

Naka's birds wouldn't be able to fly through it. :D

I can't remember whose Gingko that belonged to. It is massive! It should be hollowed out some more though.
Somehow, the trees all looked much bigger there than in these pictures. Ian, maybe you should have taken the pictures from a lower vantage point. A flash with a diffuser would be good too. The ceiling was low, so maybe a bounced flash would work.
Thanks for showing the pics Ian.

Yeah the deadwood was a bit flat wasn't it.

Alright David Bailey, next time you bring the camera;);):D Getting down to a lower angle would be good, but getting back up thats what I worry about:eek:
