Yeah, the Gekkou is fine... was actually back in my house and on display at the time because THAT chojubai suffered severe die back 2 winters ago. The semi cascade is a tree I acquired last summer. The hawthorn I acquired from you got smacked by the falling oak but suffered only a few scratches. I think this is going to be a good year for this one.

Your pot and the moss are just plain awesome!

Yep. Some nice trees being posted.

English elm, doesn't realise it's spring yet. Plan for this year, once it wakes up, is to develop a more rounded canopy.

My Elms are always ahead of yours lol, this is one of mine waking up, some might remember it, over the winter i pruned and ripped out some large bulging knuckles. will be looking to rebuild a broom canopy from this angle. the movement and also taper has improved tremendously

I say go for it mate, carve that baby up!
or what you could also do to get a very natural after effect, start at the bottom or top with branch splitters and rip a shari down the trunk

this ze;kova was done by breaking and ripping a branch, the shari has not been carved at all

I didn’t know that was an ugly tree contest… I wouldn’tenter my trident into that contest because I actually think it’s a pretty cool looking tree . Now where the hell is your picture?

Pinus nigra. Still sorting this out. Can’t decide on front. Haven’t attempted needle reduction yet. Maybe two years from now. Back budding seems like a predictable matter. Went as planned last year.
