I was just checking user stats to see who were the users who have been around the longest, and the winner is:

Believe it or not, Vance joined this site when it was three days old - way back in October, 2006. @Smoke joined about two months later in December, 2006. There are only about ten active member accounts from 2006...

Didn't realize this place started in 2006. I joined in Nov 2007 but didn't really start posting until maybe 2011 or 12? Is there a way to search back that far?

@Gnome joined the same day that Vance did, and even though he has only posted occasionally, he still visited as recently as a couple of months ago.

@bonsai barry joined in November, 2006, and was a regular contributor (over 1000 posts), but hasn't been to the site since 2015

Many of the features of the site evolved over time. For example, the ability to "like" a post is a somewhat new creation. Many of the older members have a low number of "likes" relative to their post count because they posted a lot of content before people started "liking" it. Either that or they are just unlikeable

A few years ago I went back and deleted all "inactive" accounts where people had created accounts but had never posted a single post and hadn't been to the site in over two years. That erased over 5000 accounts. We also lost over 25,000 posts (as well as a few users) when I made the decision to delete the Karaoke Bar.

Yeah, I guess so! Whenever I search for posts I get like 10 pages and haven't been able to find a way to go back further. Maybe I'm just being dense and missing something obvious. Wouldn't be the first time!
