I'm thinking about starting a new project. I don't have a forest, so I'm thinking about getting probably 5-7-9 nursery stock plants and turn them into a forest. Last three days I was basically researching for possible species that we have in our nurseries in Bulgaria. Overall, I have several options:
  • Cedrus Atlantica (Atlas Cedar)
  • Thuja Occidentalis Smaragd
  • Picea glauca Conica (not fond of the very slow growing, along with the fact that back budding is rare from what I've read)
  • Taxus
What do you guys think?

I’d like larch but among those in your wosh list I’d go with Atlas Cedar if you can get them cheap enough.

I went with the Atlas Cedar. We'll see what I'll make of it :)
Great, please post phots when you pot them up and follow through with regular shots of development.

Will do! I was hoping I could repot them now and place them all in a big pot so they can grow faster, but I'm reading that repotting should be done in early Spring which is bummer. I'd read more on that but I dont think I should risk it. I tight kill them. The weather here right now is rather unusual for the almost summer that we hit. Today was all day rainy and barely 17C

PS: Actually, regarding the repotting, the information varies, some say Spring, some say Summer.
