Ahh, awesome then. So both bougs are back on. One doing better than the other but I have an idea to deal with it. I know which is which now, the rough start one is doing the best so far. I'll update them soon.

The foliage is a dream after owning a Virginia Creeper as well. Walter Pall has a lovely specimen and shared photos at the end of my post. Take a look for more stunning specimen. https://www.bonsainut.com/threads/a...parthenocissus-tricuspidata-experience.27870/
Just finished reading the post. I like it :D I like the Boston ivy that you have created in such a short time. It's very different but still looks amazing

Ok i had to look up the word Scrumptious!
Yes the flowers are nice too and then the bright red berry's are great!
Well, possibly not a traditional term for bonsai. But a tasty morsel to look upon in my opinion. Like looking at a plate with steak...a tree can spark similar admiration of where it is...and where it will go. You just don't actually eat it.

So I just put the one from the update thread that had die back up top into an actual pot. I managed to raise it a bit in the process, still not overly sure where I'm heading with this one but I think I will defoliate it and get a better look. Also added a little zeolite to the soil mix simply because I have some.

Not much to look at for the moment really. Blooms aside it's still ugmo.

The other one I will hold off repotting for as long as I can to give time for a branch to set which is guy wired. Plus I'll watch and see how this one takes it first.

I had the same problem with mine and I was always questioning myself... But it died on me and now I'm free of worries.
However, I'm thinking that it gave up the ghost because it knew I didn't like it and this makes me feel a little sad.
The bottom portion of the trunk was worst than yours... it was like a woman's silhouette  (photographs in post #668)

Before the die back from winter I had a clear direction with it with some reasonable branch structure in place already, now that is gone so it is a blank canvas, I got an idea but I guess we will see, the other boug is on track though, I know where I'm going with that at least.

Two trees, and two helpers. My daughter found the frog in with the maiden fern as she was trimming the dead fronds!
Trees are in pots, next is styling :)1532402269687489452061.jpg20180721_150226.jpg20180721_152907.jpg

Hello @defra I am sure I have seen a thread where we post photos of our trees as of now (no comments) but no matter how I tried I didn't manage to find it...
Would you please post a link here so that all participants are aware of this thread.
Thank you very much!
