Looking for one with dimensions of 19"( 20" max) long x 13" (14" max) deep x 2" high. I would prefer a Japanese make with a lip. It's been difficult to locate one with all these specifications.

Thanks!!

Thanks Bri. The oval one is a bit too small and high. The other has better dimensions but it is rectangular. It is for my #5 maple. The one with the grafted second trunk and a rectangular pot doesn't really work with this tree. I have tried it and it's a no go.

Good luck, hard to find... but Matt might be able to do it. Did you try our friend in Japan?

I understand. Pots are sometimes hard to find in all 3 dimensions you need. I am still struggling with the perfect one for my hawthorn, LxW is easy, but the depth is always just a touch too shallow. Maybe message Matt and see if he can find one in Japan. Good luck!

No, but I may reach out and see. Thanks Judy!

Yeah I know. It's frustrating. I found a perfect one but it's dark blue. UGH! Too heavy of a color for that tree. I will need luck for sure. Good luck with yours as well.

@MACH5 have you considered this one? It fits your dimensions perfectly, except for height added by the legs?

as an exercise for myself, i'm trying to visualize what the rounded sidewalls and narrower footprint (relative to the the top) might do for your two lower branches, especially the lowest one that seems to hug the ground. is loftier the right term? it might increase their visibility too? or would the whole thing seem like it might topple over because of the height of the tree?

(as an aside this pot has been listed and re-listed since June).

Thank you Derek. Nice pot but unfortunately too heavy for the delicate nature of that maple. I think the tree needs to sit well on a low profile pot much like it is now. The maple was conceived with a far view in mind. A low profile pot serves to clearly and quietly suggest the earth in which the tree grows. Anything more and it starts to degenerate that image.

I have attached a pic of the exact pot I am looking for. Very similar to the one the maple is in now except looking for a better quality one and a bit larger. Sadly this pot is way too big at 26" long!

BTW contacted Matt and he will try and locate one for me.

@bonsaibp may have something. He had about two or three when I bought this blue one from him. It's about the same size but deeper.

At the Trophy look for both the stands of the EBPC and Sabine Besnard. Sabine is an EBPC member and makes the most amazing cream glazes. Her unofficial nickname is Crackle Cream Sabine! You could (should?) Ask both Alex and Sabine of they have any cream ovals of your size in stock and if they can bring it. For real, her cream glaze is the absolute BEST!
