And it’s available on iTunes! They’re messed up dudes, but the music is brilliant. Will be checking it out today...

I didn't pre order. Hopefully I can find a copy of it. I know I can download but I want that sweet deluxe set. Now if I could only watch some new Rick and Morty.

I heard the title song, Fear Inoculum, the other day. Cool song if not a bit on the long side. But that’s how those guys do it. They have always been dedicated to the art form and make the music like they wanted rather than trying to get radio play.
Saw them for the first time in ‘95. It’s great to see them still doing it. FWIW, Parabola on Lateralus is the best song that they ever made!

TOOL makes me relive moments in 1998 where I would answer the door and explain that no, Im not one of the guys who live here that sells weed, and no im not going to sell you some of their weed because they are not home/asleep.

I can't believe no one else has said it yet: I thought you were concerned that you had a pathogen contamination on one of your branch cutters!🤣 OK, so I don't get out much. Also, I'm old AF. But I took a listen on YouTube. I like it! You can definitely hear Prog Rock roots. Should make a hell of a live show.

I pre ordered and am going to pick it up this morning. I almost waited until the vinyl comes out but don’t feel like flipping an album every song or two lol. They’ve been playing Descending live for a while, I’ve seen them twice the last couple of years. But at festivals they’re always on a limited set....looking forward to seeing them on a full set at an indoor venue again.

I can’t believe I missed this thread...I get so excited discovering when other people are into these guys as well. Just my favourite band ever and although at least a decade too late, this album is my favourite (at the moment at least, I regularly listen to the back catalogue and then remember how damn awesome everything they do is). Definitely worth the wait, I have barely stopped listening to it this past year.

Stick Opeth and Tool on shuffle and I’m in a perpetual musicasm.

Purchased on release and been in heavy rotation since. I had very good tickets to their (cancelled) show here this summer. Super bummed about that one. Still feeling the effects in my brain from the Portland show a few years back.

I'm sure a lot of you Tool heads may have already seen this but for those that have not.

Definitely need to plug in some headphones! I've been getting a kick out of all the reaction videos.
Simply phenomenal. Time signatures on top of time signatures, with complexity almost so imperceptible it appears simple. I think Maynard only joins in on this one because he “needs” to, none of this vocalist taking the limelight stuff here. Flawless.

Gutted, hope they reinstate the show for you. I’m sad to say I’ve never had the pleasure.
