Small lizard enjoying the boulders and karesansui/ginshanada.

(Just small boulders... wish I had big ones like everyone here, lol)

Your stone setting is beautiful and I would not change a thing. It's all a matter of perspective. I see a dragon perched on a mountain peak above the clouds.

Thanks. I buried them about 1/3 deep and kept adjusting angles and checked every side until just right. Just wish they were bigger, maybe 3-4' long.
I have 3 other groupings/clusters around the house. They are all only about 16"-24" tall (the tallest boulder per group); but at least I could move/drag them myself with a dolly and ratchet strap. A few felt like a 400lb motorcycle lol.

Last boulder...
(this was a mistake from the local rock store... I didn’t tag nor choose any brown nor sandstone boulders, but it was included in the crate by mistake I guess... made the best out of it)

Slowly trying to get rid of all the cheap, big-box store, generic looking, frat-bro/house type sh*t around the garden.

1st pic... Only 1 more ugly, eyesore, cheap, old, white plastic chair to throw away (I already threw away 4 over the summer... they were very dry rotted from the sun and powdery... uninviting to sit on).

Getting rid of old stuff - all plastic patio chairs, also got rid of an old oversized 45” glass patio table over the summer (2nd pic), replaced old worn cheap garden hoses and threw away old plastic hose-reel.

Just got an inexpensive wood patio set from Ikea. But looks much much nicer - natural hard wood (acacia), Japan bistro style.
I know teak is best...but you can’t beat $69.99 for this set.

Also got new Eley garden hoses in this week too.

One heck of a nursery.
Slowly where Im headed ,but a fraction of the size.
Turning towards ro water to mix with my rain water. Most of my stuff will be in ground with plastic over them on the ground like the Amish do.Conserves water anyway.
Great selection of trees!

Looking great Frank, lots of variety and choices for those looking to increase their collection. When is the Black Friday sale 😂
Tomorrow, however as we all know tomorrow never comes, simply an expectation;)
Nursery open by invitation only, the exceptions being two public Open Houses per year, one in the spring and one in the fall! Vancouver Island and local vancouver bonsai clubs are always invited to the Open Houses, as well as those who inquire on a general basis to look around. Open at all times to students and workshop participants. Works well for me as i have limited production and focus strictly on personal sales, nothing online and no shipping involved. Simply old school.

Quick autumn haircut/cleanup on a guava, tall twin eugenias and fern-podocarpus (and also lemon..not pictured).

next wknd, gonna do the rest... 2 more eugenias and a grape vine cutback.

Also have two old 5’ JBPs that are due for a winter momiage/needle-cleanup... but I may skip this year, because that’s tons of work (6-8hrs each for me).
And I read you shouldn’t really do momiage every year according to Ryan Neil (might weaken the tree too much in the long run) and to just do it every other year. Although many others say it should be done every year... so I’m confused, lol.
