I purchased some Japanese Maple and Trident Maple saplings on ebay from an end of year clearance. I've ended up with about 250 Japanese maples and 50 Trident maples. I was looking for an easier/faster way to put movement into them rather than wiring 300 individual plants. Someone mentioned on facebook about planting them in a line and shaping them with bamboo and twine but wasn't very forthcoming with details and my searches haven't turned anything up so I was hoping you guys might have some good ideas!

I would place them all in an area that is as small as possible and lay screen material on top of them.
@Smoke had some cool results growing trident maples under a screen.

Could end up with 300 twisty contorted starters....
