I'm sure there are plenty of reasons to post and view images in the different formats. I wonder if this couldn't be something that could be chosen on the reader's side instead of poster's. I really like how you can swipe through all the thumbnails in a page without reading anything, usually viewing from a mobile device. What are others thoughts on this?

I've wondered this from how it would be perceived from the mobile format which I never use.
I use a flip phone, but often do use the iPad which is often different from my wife's iPhone I think, but mostly use desktop.
I've never gotten any negative feedback either way but...

I try to use thumbnails in another members thread if I'm adding one of my own pictures out of courtesy.

I sometimes post thumbnails in a way that a progression can be viewed,
or to toggle back and forth between 2 pics to study different nuances or just comparisons sake.

I also wondered if full sized images I post, can or cannot be viewed in mobile format full frame,
meaning the entire picture is visible without scrolling. IDK.

you can swipe through all the thumbnails in a page without reading anything
This has advantages obviously, but have found myself missing pertinent captions
or catch myself fast forwarding past something, but yeh, I have to back up and read 1st.
I'm a slow reader.

I try to use thumbnails in others’ threads, especially if they’re long progressions, and prefer others use thumbnails in mine.
If it’s design assistance, or a photos thread, I’ll usually go full photo.
