First styling:
New pot, other side.
Better, in my humble opinion.
I still think the now "back branch" is too thick and competing with the trunk. Difficult one!
What? There is thornless variety?!This is a thornless variety! Definitely stressed whenever they're wired but they bounce back quickly here in South Florida. Definitely going to continue to explore the front.

Did you get it from eBay? I found some thornless ones there by samurai gardens. Did you get yours there? I saw one of the listings as thornless but you can still see thorns poking out on the photos.Yup. It's quite nice not to get destroyed by thorns.
I got this tree from dragon Tree Bonsai In Florida. They have them on eBay but they are $200.

Does the one without thorns have bigger leaves?
Shouldn't be any larger. Both of mine have the same size leaves. I've also never ever stressed a BRT leaf so that it grew larger. No matter what I do they are always the same size, even if I tax the root system.Does the one without thorns have bigger leaves? I am growing a bunch from seed, all small leaves. And I have one bought as plant, which has no thorns. But the leaves are a magnitude larger!?
Are they easy to root from cutting though? If yes, it should be propagated more frequently.Yes, there is indeed a thornless cultivar, as well as a corticosa (cork bark) variety.
Even here in Brazil the thornless is more expensive and difficult to find.
I'll give you an answer after summer. Ihave a few cuttings going. Are they easy to root from cutting though? If yes, it should be propagated more frequently.

The base is too good on this side not to take it in this direction.
