They were awful. Gusts to 50 mph. I got all my trees on the ground early, so they were OK.
It was a super small little ficus fortunately. Which I had planned on bringing in anyways. It should be fine. Even on the ground though the trees with dense canopies were really shaking in the wind. It was nuts. This fucking bonsai year has been so dam stressful! 😩😅

We got our first snow last night. By Saturday, it will be back up to 75F

Ho ! I always imagined New Mexico a place with hight temps all year round.

Here, it was 28°C today, and it will be 31°C on Monday, and no rain. It's usually 10° lower and very rainy in September. The axis of the earth must be shifting (this is a joke, don't quote me as saying "the axis of the earth is shifting" !).

I panicked and brought all my trees into my garage it sucked and the move back was just as not fun. We did get up to 90mph gusts though so no regrets.

I’m in Ohio, we had some pretty wicked storms the other day. I counted at least 15 large trees up-rooted or snapped in half on my way through town.
But no snow thankfully! We’re still having lows around 60°f/15°c.
So it snowed in NM? Or am I confused?

We have plenty of sunshine, but we have frequent snow in the winter. This is quite early for the first frost (got down to freezing at the airport, but not at my house). I live at 2100 meters, so you never know.

Yes, in northern New Mexico. We’re at the southern end of the Rockies. Santa Fe is at 7000.’ Over the weekend, we had highs of 92F (33C).
I see! I guess I’ve shown how naïve I am lol, I had no idea!

2100 metres ! I understand now. I think I have phantasied picture of New Mex, like the cartoons of Tex Avery, Beep-Beep, but I think it's more like Arizona in fact. We French people are reputed to be bad at geography - not as bad as the US citizens, but not so far actually 😄

But you know, global warming can mean colder winters : when the ice-caps melt and come down the Atlantic ocean, the icebergs that are severed from glaciers will cool down warm currents. Noboby knows really how things will turn out.

For some, "the leader" knows : Duce, Conducattore, Führer, Prophet, Preacher,...

Good luck.

Or vote.

Denver was at 101 F on Sat. snow yesterday....

The bonsai shuffle started early this year! It got down into the 20s at my house after nearly 100 just a few hours earlier.

Most trees probably would have been okay, but mine went into the garage to weather this storm. Better safe than sorry. Back out on the benches for 80+ degree weather this weekend 😎
