Lucky day hunting for trees in nurseries. Was mainly on the look for an oak tree and visited few nurseries, didn't find any oaks but scored a nice juniper and a second one that I seem to like the movement in the trunk.
Tree 1
Can't wait to uncover the trunk under soil

A chopped trunk but will work it out

Loving the base, a bit of reverse taper from some angles but should be able to find a nice angle that hides it.

Tree 2
Not as nice as first one but nice trunk movement. Screenshot_20200915-230634_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20200915-230658_Gallery.jpg

Sweet finds, I believe the second one can be considered female based on the berries. Not 100% certain about that though :)

Absolutely correct. And for juniper, when you can, go for female plants. The male plants (which produce pollen) have a scruffy look once flowering, as the pollen tips are curled, and yellow afterwards

Nice aged material. Go slow and don't make drastic cuts untill you have a plan!

I am not convinced there it a lot of interest further down. From the pictures it looks like planting depth is perfect showing the tips of roots.

Indeed, been thinking about a plan especially for the first one. Very tricky tree.
Starting another thread shortly with better pics to get input on plan.
