This story starts when the 6 years JBP contest was launched.
I couldn't get any seeds from here, complained like a child, and so I got a very kind offer from @Anthony .
He would send me a pack of pine seeds from Trinidad.
Being absolutely shameless, I asked for some Tamarindus Indica seeds also, as I knew he had quite a few beautiful Tamarind bonsai.
Anthony sent me the seeds by mail, posted on March 1rst, 2018.
After three months, as no package had arrived by mail, we gave it up as lost.
So Anthony sent the JPB seeds to @my nellie in Greece, and she kindly reposted them along with some Mediterranean Cypress seeds to my address.
This was July 4th, 2018.
I got the seeds from Athens alright, and entered the contest.
To my big surprise, on the 18th of September, the seeds from Trinidad unexpectedly arrived.
SEVEN months to get from Central America to South America!!
So I sowed the seeds, including the Tamarind. Out of six, three sprouted.
And now, two years later, because of the kindness of two people from around the world, I've got a few JBP, Cypress and Tamarind seedlings.
I am very grateful to Greg @Bonsai Nut for this amazing tool to make friends.
And to Anthony and Alexandra too, of course. Very generous people!
The seeds when arrived:
One of my 3 Tamarind seedlings today:
And the inspiration to wanting one so much:
