Has anyone ever seen Aussie bonsai bloke? I posted the link to the video. I found it very interesting yet shocking. Just wondering if anyone has used a technique like he is using in the video and what species and the results.

They posted a thread here doing it with Japanese Maple.

It may be important to remember that this dude has some great hot winds through the summer.

Don't know if this makes it work faster or at all, I just feel like he won't have the pathogens as we do in this humid.

Just a thought.

That’s mostly what I was thinking about while watching was the possibility of disease or insects. I’d be interested to know if anyone else has tried it and what their results are.
