Got this Beautiful Brazilian Raintree around three weeks ago I have been regularly watering just the same as my other trees the Treme came via shipping and seem to be stressed out for a few days after that everything was fine until I started noticing yellow leaves. Green leaves turning from green to light green to a mix of green and yellow and then fall yellow and falling off They are not drying out my thought is slight underwater please let me know what your thoughts are very much appreciated

Nice tree and it looks healthy. I wouldn’t worry about a few yellowing leaves as long as it is pushing new growth.

Mine is doing the same, looks like nothing to worry about. Good luck :)

Is it also pushing out small little green buds? It’s that time of year when they drop their old leaves and start putting on a new crop. I think I have about two old yellow leaves left right now and there are pretty green ones unfurling left and right. Keep watering and feeding it.

It is barely pushing new buds. Came from Florida now in Colorado. Not sure if that has some to do with it. Should I trim off all yellowing leafs? Or just let them fall?

Leave it be. Let it get lots of light and time. Water when soil is mostly dry

Give it plenty of light. I keep mine next to a west facing patio door all winter. Then in March each year the leaflets start to yellow and fall off. By April I can move it outside during the days and back in at night until temps stay above 45. The buds start to swell in late March but don’t really begin to open until mid-April. At this point I inly ahve a few yellow leaflets on the tree a d the buds have opened a d even extended a couple of inches. You may be able to get a tove growth in the winter if the tree is given extra light, and has a heat pad under it.

I had the same thing happen with one of my Brazilian rain trees last month. All of the old leaves turned yellow and fell off, but it grew a new, even fuller set of leaves in just a couple weeks. Many Brazilian rain tree growers will defoliate their trees once a year to speed this process along, though it's not necessary to do so. It's hard to tell from your pictures, but are the yellowing leaves on the lower branches and the interior of the canopy? You can expect those leaves to die off first. I would only be concerned if it's not pushing out any new growth, or if the new growth itself is yellowing and dying off. Also, what nursery sold you the tree? I really like the trunk and the bark.

I got it at Plant City Bonsai in Georgia. They have a few more at the nursery, but mine was the best-looking one in my opinion. They do have a massive BRT there.

I have had a couple of new shoots dry out and some get ambushed by aphids, but overall new growth is still coming in. Just sprayed it with neem oil today

Its a very nice BRT.
All BRT do this. Mine do it all the time in the winter and particularly around March and April when they start replacing their leaves.
I get little piles of leaves on the floor around the table they sit on until I clean them up.

You are correct in that they do not like to dry out completely but as long as there is a little bit of moisture in the soil, it wont cause the leaves to drop.
If it really dries out, it will let you know. The leaves wont open until it gets enough water and if its long enough, it will drop most or all of its leaves.
That said, I wouldn't over water them either. I water mine when the soil is just starting to get a little dry.
I have had one or two of my trees decide to drop all their leaves for one reason or another but they started to grow back in a few weeks.
You might also consider giving it some supplemental lighting when you have it inside. The tree will appreciate it.

It’s outside in direct light (except for right now because it rained and it’s in organic soil)

You are in Georgia, its probably hot enough for your tree to be outside.
The OP is in Colorado. Its probably not warm enough where he/she is.
Its not even quite warm enough at night where I am to put mine outside yet.

I was hoping to get mine out this week, but lows in the 40's say no.

Tell me about it. We had snow April 20th and three days of below freezing temps. Today some of the guys at work had ice on their windshields. Of course it could be 90 degrees in a week. That's life in the Midwest.

Fair enough. Hopefully they can get outside soon. And hopefully my BRT will start behaving

UPDATE!!! New growth has exploded, my next question would be now, at this time should I trim back new growth? Or should I defoliate and re pot
