Just an information announcement for those looking for trees with some history.

The Pacific Bonsai Museum is offering a number trees excess to their collection up for sale as of today. Many of these trees were donated over the years, especially there are a number donated last year by Roland Folse. Others have been part of the museum collection for years. Everything is being sold as is in good faith.

Here's the link for their online store. https://pacificbonsaimuseum.z2systems.com/np/clients/pacificbonsaimuseum/giftstore.jsp

Who at the museum would know a more detailed history of the trees in addition to what was listed on the website shop? Just curious about the tree I got because it doesn’t have as much detail in the write up as some of the others

this tree right here seems to be a screaming deal and has me tempted. Any idea what type of “2needle pine” it is?

That’s a cool one. Unfortunately it says out of stock.

I love that ginkgo for sale. That one is a screaming deal to me and I’m surprised no one has got it yet.

Oh dam. Thought I saw that it wasn’t. That’s too bad.

That’s a good question. The notice went out to all Museum members, many of which are also club members. However I never saw the club post the sale. Your gain.

The history is posted in the sale under “Product description”. You would like to ask for more you could call up PBM and ask to speak with the Asst Curator or the Curator.

There are several very nice items still available, the spindle tree and the dwarf multi trunk cypress, and the mugo are all pretty great. Too bad I'm not in the market right now...

I hope they took better care of packaging other people’s trees that got shipped out than they did with mine... I’m not happy

You got a pic? Sorry to hear that. It's not like they can replace it either.
