sifted inorganics

I'm wondering if it would be appropriate to put my sifted inorganics-turface, 8822 and perlite into some plants that are heavy organic already w/poor or no drainage like bald cypress and other stuff that you don't plan on draining regular. I'm not into growing small plants, too much yamadori to keep me busy for now so what does everyone do with the sifted stuff?

Mixing it in should be ok but alone or just atop could make it cake up and prevent watering.

what does everyone do with the sifted stuff?

Are you talking about the dust / fines? I use it for filling holes in my yard :)

You don't use it for bonsai, if that's what you're asking. Not for seedlings, yamadori, pre-bonsai - anything.
