A large loropetalum in my area has what I believe to be a sport that blooms white. I double checked that this is indeed coming from the same plant. Do these propagate easily from cuttings?

Very cool genetic oddity, would be awesome to have a bonsai with both white and purple flowers!! And nobody could say its artificial or manmade 😛

I'm more interested in having white flowers on the purple foliage. Once spring fully kicks in the leaves turn a deep purple color. Here's a pic from a previous year.

9?
There are at least 2 forms of Loripetalum. The pink flowered, dark leaf one and a white flowered variety with greener leaves. I assume the white flowered one is the original species but have not checked to see if that's correct.
It will be interesting to see if this is a branch that has reverted to white or maybe 2 plants got mixed in a single pot when they were first potted up years ago and the white one has been selectively suppressed to favour the pink flowered one?

I happen to have one with green leaves and bright pink flowers. And one with burgundy leaves and pink flowers.

It may have stooled up from white rootstock.
It's from a larger branch that has purple flowers as well. I think the wild type is the purple foliage with pink flowers.
Unfortunately the loss of color from flowers seems to correlate with loss of color from leaves, new growth appears green rather than purple.
