Wondering what species of Ficus this tree is? I have hear Ficus retusa and also heard it is a Ficus tiger bark, and then someone said it is a Ficus green island, don't think it is the green island at all since I saw a green island at the local garden center and it had entirely different leaves.

Ficus microcarpa. Looks like the tiger bark variety but it’s hard to tell.

Very common to see these mislabeled. But it doesn’t really matter. Care is the same.

I am not a Ficus expert but I do have about 20 types. My Tiger Bark has more pronounced tiger stripes seen here in picture.
Also, Green Island comes in oval shape or round shape leaves, and there is even a dwarf.

The bark does not look like a tiger bark ficus. Definitely not a benjamina either.

I thought Retusa is NOW Microcarpa (and grafted to big roots "Ginseng")
and Tiger Bark is just a certain genetic variation.

I thought they are all, essentially, the same.. but I'm fairly new to ficus. (Just for everyone's benefit who MAY be confused)
