according to the Naturalist, guiding the canoe trip, the trees along the river tend to be in distinct age groups, with very few from years between the groups. The smaller trees along the shore tend to be 100 to 150 years old. The larger broken trees out in the water tend to be right around 500 years old. There are a handful that are 850 years old, and only one was found that was 1300 years old.

There are very few between 500 and 850, and very few found between 150 and 500 years old.
