Again, these Milawin trees sport the most magnificent, and pure-white bleachable, deadwood I've ever seen. The foliage merely serves, 1. To ensure that the deadwood isn't merely driftwood, but is part of a tree and its history, and 2. To frame and accentuate the main attraction, i.e. the deadwood, as in Dan Robinson's famous old article, "Focal Point Bonsai Design." Enjoy!
