i live on mustang island in texas, moss dosent grow on the island

i was thinking i could keep the roots separated with some plastic sheeting, i want to do Kyoto moss but i cant get my spors to sprout and i cant find any good looking live moss on line

i have a idea for a landscape for one of my trees but im having trouble finding live Kyoto moss. i was thinking about maybe using majestic Bermuda turf grass and keeping the roots of the grass separated from the tree. has any one used grass? what do yall think

yes they close at night and when they have had enought light for the day and its some of the older leavs and some younger ones but ita mostly only on one side of the tree

moist but not wet the same moisture level ive had them at the hole time ive been growing them

i still have some seeds, befor i grew them i compared the seeds i got with photos on the net, the trees open and close there leaves just like rain trees, but besides that back to the main topic, any advice about the issue im having?

ya thay are ive grown then from seeds the big ones 5 months old and the small ones 3 months old they just havent taken shape yet
