Ops sorry didnt see the worst leaves right away.. as for those i dont know.. but rest of the leaves looks like they could have been sprayed with leaf shiner some time ago
Stores sometimes use "leaf shiners" on the leaves.. i dont know excactly what it is but you just spray it on and the leaves shine.
You could try to take a moist towel or something and gently wipe the leaves

The ficus in the aquarium is doing great! new shoots and leaves are still coming and the submerged roots are also developing :)
My nitrit levels has also gone down a lot so it is using the fertilizers in the water :)

I have also read alot about it and seen youtube clips where they make filters of bottles and have plants into it submerged with only leca and a air stone at the bottom of the filter.
I will do what i normally do.. just try and see how it goes :)

But do you think adding the ficus roots into the water will use up any of the nitrites?
I have never had any disease or putted any chemicals in the water.. its fairly new aquarium but.
I have never really fertilized any of my tropicals either.. they sit in a mix of some soil and worm casting.
And rootball is not under water... its only the long thin feeder roots that sits...

Soooo i went and got me a 125 liter aquarium for some weeks ago and have been reading a lot about it..

But i feel its harder with a tree like that then with one that allready has a big trunk and a low cut.. when the tree is high and bushy like my too little i have problems seeing "into" it in a way..
But i guess il find out when the day comes to cut and wire :D

I have tried to wrap in plastic and making a "tent" over the whole plant.. the thing that has so far made the most aerials have been to cut a scar in the bark and then wrapping plastic around it..
But i just guess when you dig it down it would make a more natural look to it as the roots...
