    Caleb's cancer back

    After thinking that we were done with this cancer mess with Caleb, but found out yesterday that it is back in what is left of his left kidney, and now also in both of his lungs, his stomach, and lymph nodes. This is really really really not good. Poor little guy needs prayers more than ever now...

    We are not quite out of the woods yet however... Yesterday he developed a fever so we took him to the hospital. He has some kind of viral infection but they are treating him and it is coming down, so hopefully he will be able to come home soon and be done!

    As some of you may remember my son Caleb was diagnosed with cancer this year. I am pleased to report that they did a surgery on him at at judes in Memphis and have him 6 more weeks of chemo just in case and now he is done with chemo and cancer free. Thank you all for your prayers.

    In John Naka's bonsai techniques 1 he refers to "sand" quite a lot. When he says that does he mean like fine sand as in play sand or beach sand, or is he talking about coarse sand like fishtank rocks or decomposed granite?

    The trunk was very straight on the tree at the arboretum but with the hollowed trunk facing toward you and the curvy scraggly branches give it some movement and distract from the straightness of the trunk.
