    With the weather we're having in Texas the only shipping issue outside of tropicals would be getting someone to a warehouse to physically ship a tree. I was going to go to a gas station earlier for an energy drink and almost face planted in my driveway.

    Mesh for pot holes

    If it's 1/16" (1.58mm) and not 1/8"(3.17mm) you may be too small. Grab a quarter to check (They are 1.75mm thick). Fujiyama mesh is 2mm so that may be a good size to aim for. A presidential dollar is 2mm thick and could be used to check when shopping. If what you have is rigid enough and it...

    I'm back after defeat

    Yamadori is what has gotten me really motivated. Since both of you found you were inspired by collecting and returned to the hobby, I wonder how many others follow the same path.

    I like what you said about getting a really nice tree. That's what I was told to do last time I got fed up. Get 2 trees you like and can be proud of, and focus your energy on keeping those healthy. Then you can get a bunch of material to play with that will satisfy your urges to re-pot or trim.
